Gluten Free & Clean Eating Recipe – Apple Crisp

Gluten-free Apple Crisp

Ingredients:

-preparation time: 10 minutes

5 cups of cored, peeled and sliced apples (Cortland and Grannysmith are my faves)

3/4 cup of brown sugar

1/2 cup of gluten-free oats

1/4 cup of brown rice flour (I hear almond meal works well too)

1/4 cup (half a stick) of unsalted butter (not melted, you can cut it into slices)

1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375. Lay out your apples in a 8×8 baking dish. Mix all other ingredients, minus the butter, into a mixing bowl. Add in the butter slowly. You want to make a crumbly topping. Sprinkle onto of the apples and then bake for 30 minutes or until the topping is a golden brown! Add some french vanilla ice cream and eat warm!

About Jamie Webster

Just your average blogger. Married 2 years with two wonderful children who are 6 years apart. Little about me: I’m turning 31 this year (yikes), have had 9 foot surgeries in 8 years and have spent a little over 4 years of my life in and out of a wheel chair (or scooter). And today, I am training for a half marathon. I attribute two major changes in my life to my healing: the power of goal setting and going gluten free.
